Hi can I have a PPP
Me and my ex split when I was 18 weeks and stopped having anything to do with me by around 24 weeks pregnant now that I’ve had my daughter, he’s been threatening to kidnap her and been threatening my and my partner in public as well as threatening to slit my throat to one of my close friends and now he has sent a letter to my mum’s from a solicitor saying he’s done everything he can to see her when he hasn’t even tried, he had my number for months till he gave it to his friends so they could prank call me at 12:30 at night so I changed it and that was only about 2 weeks ago, it even says in the letter he wants contact with his son!! He hasn’t even paid attention to her sex! The whole reason we split up was because he couldn’t look after himself (couldn’t cook/clean/wash properly) the house I moved out of was always a mess cuz when I tried to clean he would have a go at me, I had severe depression when I was with him and the mental abuse was unbelievable. We split on okay terms I managed to get him to end it as he had always told me if I did he would kill himself! He also abused my cat that I had asked him to look after untill I found a place of my own and lied about having two children (one which he had said had died as a cot death) but spoke to the “mother” as things didn’t add up and it turns out she hasn’t spoken to him in over 8 years. I guess the real question is do you girls think I should give him contact or not?? My heart says I shouldn’t let him anyway near her cuz of the risks, sorry for the long post and thanks for any advice in advance x

  • Just collect as much evidence as possible and have it ready if they ask, he clearly doesn’t care that much if he doesn’t know her gender also call the police and let them know everything his said and done

  • That’s not true Ann my ex did similar he was told he wasn’t allowed but asked again that’s when they said supervision but he didn’t bother

They are not always granted contact that easily

  • That’s good then, he won’t stand much of a chance if there is already a case against him, my ex was very similar he just pop up try it with the courts they would say you need to do this, this and this and he wouldn’t so they dropped it.
My advice is agreed to supervised visitation if after say 6 months there has been no threats or violence then you can discuss it again but he may not even bother but at least then you can say you gave him a chance
