Hi, can I have a private post please as family and friends are on the other page?

My partners mum has been really ill for a while but the hospital called the family in around 5am on Christmas Eve. Sadly she passed away early hours Christmas morning and he’s been drinking a lot (we went out Friday and he had his works do on Saturday and they were both quite heavy nights) and he is still drinking now and has not had much sleep at all. I completely understand that he’s grieving but he’s showing no signs of stopping, almost like he doesn’t want to sober up because it’s just going to send him into a breakdown so I’m really starting to worry about him. We have a 16 month old to look after also. How long do I let him go on like this before saying he needs to stop? Like I said, I really do understand that he is grieving the loss of his mum but I’m worried sick about him 😭😭
