Hi can I have a private post please,
I gave birth last week and ended up having forceps and a episiotomy, I know it’s only been just over a week but the stitches are still really painful I just wondered if anyone had the same and how long it took to heal and anyways to help ease the pain, many thanks

I had an episiotomy with my first and they hurt for about a week,speak to your midwife my love if they are dissolvable she might cut them for you or they even might be a bit on the tight side and see what pain killers you can take if your not breast feeding.
I found taking room temperature water to the loo for a wee and pour when weeing helped loads x
If they still hurt go to gp they could be infected and may need anti biotic
Yes took a while I also had a 3rd degree tare too had cesection second time rounds as was still suffering
When I had my oldest had stitches was told by midwife to sit in warm water with salt helps to heal it took about 3 weeks I had loads of stitches x
