hi can i have a private post please..i had an emergency section with my daughter 10 years ago and im currently 37+2 with my second daughter. my first labour was horrendous…14 hours of labour no progression and fetal distress so emergency section carried out under general aneasthetic. ive been encouraged by the consultant and midwives to try for vbac this time round which i was sort of happy to try but im genuinly terrified of things going wrong so much so that im not sleeping. is it too late to ask for a n elective c section? i just dont want to go through what i did previously and i dont want to risk anything happening to my baby or myself (rupturing) im going to the midwife today at 3pm but just looking for some advice or other mums experiences. i just dont know if i could cope it labour as ill be so focused on something going wrong thank you x

I’d be honest with your mw about how your feeling. My two births were so very different but I can understand your concern. They might make a plan to try a vbac but say they will intervene earlier if they feel it’s required etc. I had an emergency section three years ago and they did everything to keep me awake for it n thankfully the spinal worked first time. Xx
I’d ring ur midwife up tell u how u feel as they can’t refuse u if u wanted one! Xx
My first baby was a section second baby was vbac 6 hour labour xx I was scared but was very closely monitored xx
