Hi can i have a private post please.

I have over 6 month old lg, shes bf, i want to stop after new year but i dont know how to do it (i know it sounds stupid) do i decide one day to just stop and give her formula? Do i give her formula every second feed and eventually stop bf? Problem is shes not taking bottle very well, even expressed milk… thats the only way to get her to sleep, shes completely unable to soothe herself, rocking, bouncer, she hates being in her pram to the point i avoid going anywhere…because i know she will scream till i pick her up… its soo stressful, its too cold for sling, she can be unsettled in sling too. And i also want to ask how do i get her to sleep better? She doesnt sleep through the night yet, im not expecting miracles as i have lb too and he JUST started sleeping through the night (4 years old) Bedtime have been a nightmare to the point i just want to sit and cry… since she was born it was bath, boob sleep now for 2 weeks its been bath boob screaming till i come to the room, she over eats and vomits. And again bath boob eventually sleep. She wakes up almost as soon as i leave the room, i need a shower too, and it has to be me… she’ll not fall asleep if my partners there…and dont know why she suddenly started doing that? Any suggestions? Thank you xx

  • Use a cup instead off a bottle. How often does she feed?? I started weaning mine off bf at about 4 months using a free flow cup. I put about an oz in between morning and lunchtime feed then gradually upped the oz’s and moved it closer to normal bf time. I started with lunch as I felt if she didn’t take the whole cup she would make up for it at tea time and bedtime. Once we cracked one I stopped tea time then breakfast and kept up nighttime for a few weeks after days were done. Just take your time as if you are stressed about it she will be too. It’ll take a wee while to get her to adapt but she will. I used formula so it was completely alien to her and something different rather than something familiar but wrong if you what I mean
