Hi..can I have a private post please, I left my ex partner just over 8 years ago, I have 2 children with him 10&9.
I left him due to domestic violence, he was charged but only got a 2 year suspended sentence due to me dropping the charges as I was threatened with my children.

He has not seen my son since he was 2 and my daughter since she was 2 week old.
About 6 months ago I had a call from the social services asking me did my children have any contact with my ex’s father, which they don’t, I asked why but was told I didn’t need to know and advised not to let him have contact (ex’s dad)

My ex has recently come out of prison for armed robbery which apparently he didn’t do, but served 2 years anyway which sounds a load of sh** it me.

Now my ex’s mum keeps messaging me and my mum asking can the kids see her and their dad.
I asked my kids and they said they didn’t want to see him.
But now I’m being slagged off rotten because I won’t let them see the kids.
They haven’t seen them in 8 years, and now all of a sudden they’re bothered.
My son is terrified of him cause he knows he beat me.
So why do I feel like I’m the bad one in this?
Am I in the wrong?
