Hi can I have a private post please ? So my partner and I have been together 3 yrs ,have a 1 year old daughter ,when we first got together he was literally a dream come true .Now I know people change once they get settled but this is like a different man .He works 2 days a week and spends a lot of time doing his own things ,we don’t have any childcare so can’t really get any time alone which he hates .after about a year of being together he became verbally and on odd occasion physical abusive, we split and he went back to being kind so after a few month we tried again ,he’s not bin physical since but he’s not been nowt else .it’s like there’s nothing there .he’s happy to sit and talk for hours about himself but asks me nothing. And I mean I could literaly come home after 7 days with my arms missin and he’d just sit and say how bad his days been .he never remembers even important stuff I tell him ,he never supports me and I really mean never .this causes a lot of tension and he becomes defensive and turns it back on me .I don’t see why I should keep begging him to care .he gets angry and says horrible things back to me so then I too get angry as I think why the he’ll should I keep having to ask you to be a fiance to me then eventually maybe the next day he will apologise and say hel change but he doesn’t so we go round in circles ,I give him an ultimatum and he just walks out and comes back next day like everything’s normal .then I think I’m not asking a lot ,it’s not like he has to guess what I want ,I just want him to make some effort I mean we literally do nothing .so I ask him to move out and I just get laughed at .part of me is even contemplating doing something bad just to get a bloomin reaction from him ,anything ,he’s like a dead body .just to point out he’s not like this with anyone else in fact quite the opposite ,he spends hours talking to people and taking an interest in their lives and can recite back to me when strangers in the street cut their first tooth (for example) but can’t remember when I’ve asked him twenty times to help me with our daughter as I have an important meeting that day and just stays on bed and says he forgot .Andy ideas or advice please as I really don’t want another 3 years of this and he won’t move out without making my life hell as he did exactly same to his ex for 5 years , I’d be happy to work on things but how do I get the situation to change ,sorry for long post
