Hi can I have a private post please,

Today is my partners birthday we’ve been together 5 years I always buy him something expensive and get my parents to babysit our two children while we go out for the night, however he’s never bought me anything on my birthday which is two weeks away he’s always been out himself and will text me happy Birthday one year I was even left minding his daughter who had come to visit he went out an never came back so I spent my birthday with his daughter now I didn’t have a problem with it because it’s only a birthday it’s not a big deal anyway today is his birthday and because we’ve left Christmas presents so late I couldn’t afford to buy him anything or go out like we’d normally do for his birthday, anyway he was fine up until this evening and he just stopped talking to me an If I talked to him I’d get a one word answer, so now he’s stormed out of the house complaining he didn’t get to do anything and he only got a present from his parents, I feel really bad because I never got him anything today but I did promise to buy him something tomorrow when I had the money and he said forgot about it we’ll just sort the kids for Christmas, but I know he’s annoyed and now I’m annoyed too because he’s never gotten me a birthday present and I always make sure he has something and a night out where as on my birthday he takes my wages and spends it on him an his friends or leaves me with his daughter while he’s out texting me happy birthday from a pub anyway I feel so bad now and I know he wants a pair of trainers that cost €150 which I haven’t got but I’m willing to ditch bills to make him happy known in two weeks time for my birthday I get nothing not even a happy birthday from him, but should I ditch my bills and buy these trainers or should I let him sulk known every year I go out of my way for him and get nothing on my birthday two weeks later??
