Hi, can I have a private post please?
A few weeks ago me and my partner separated and he’s moved out of our family home. I rang my land lady last week as I needed to let her know so that I could get my tenancy updated and put it in my name only. She came over today for a visit and to discuss things.. This is when she told me she’s decided to sell the property and I have two months to find somewhere else to live. I’m devastated and anxious, I’ve never been in this situation before and while it’s not my land lady’s fault, (she told me she’s been trying to pluck up the courage to tell us for a while) I’m worried I won’t find anywhere near where I am now that will take benefits, as I’ve had to make a claim to support me and my sons as I only work part time. What are my next steps? I needed a vent as well I’m just feeling so overwhelmed as I’m trying to adjust to becoming a single mother as it is, so if anyone who’s been in a similar situation has any advice it would be very much appreciated! Thanks, sorry for long post.
