Hi can you post privately please, it’s work related. I’m currently 7 weeks pregnant (not told work yet personal reasons) and ive come down with Gastritis. I’ve had it since Sunday night and I went work Monday as my team leader guilt tripped me. Anyways I regret going I did my job and went home went straight to the doctors to get it diagnosed and they said it’s contagious and I have to be off for the week. I told my team leader who then told my manager and basically to be told they don’t believe me because I went to work on the Monday and the fact I stayed there all day. I’ve asked my doctors if they can print out my diagnosis to prove I went etc. But they said they can’t until after 7 days. Is there anything else I can do? 🙁 xx

Hi can you add that they told me to self certify myself and I got that from their reception xx
Just wait the 7 days love.. Anyway if they’ve advised you to stay off work for a week then the doctor should of given you a sick note.. Ask for that x
If your employer insists on a sick note you can request a private one but you will be charged. I had to do this but as the company insisted I claimed the charge back from them.
Go and snog your boss and when she gets it she’ll soon believe you.. hope you feel better soon xx
Your entitled to 3 sick days with no doctors sick note anyway look up contract
I would just ask for a written to say u have it then self certificate off for a week x
Work for coop by any chance sounds like my old boss… can’t sack you for being ill don’t believe tough shit on them.
