Hi, could I get some advice from other parents on how to deal with temper tantrums and kicking,hitting and scratching.. my daughters just turned 1 and goes from being the sweetest little girl to a full on hissy fits at a moments notice.. I try no in a stern voice and looking her in the eye as I do but she just doesn’t seem to respond to it.. she does understand no but obviously not properly as she’s so young x

Okay, tantrums. There can be a lot of reasons why kids throw tantrums. I’d like to offer my two cents
#1 Check if they are sick (teething, upset tummy or diaper rash could be some surefire triggers.
#2 Don’t yell back (they aren’t listening to you.
#3 Give them a moment, and once they are a bit calm, open your arms wide for a hug.
#4 Calmly tell them why what they were doing was inappropriate.
Being calm is the way to go about, when dealing with tantrums.And also, just hang in there, you’ve got this.
