Hi could I have a private post please,
I am having a very hard time with my employer at work, I wasn’t due to go on maternity leave until September but because they are making my life so hard at work and pushing me beyond my abilities being overweight and 28 weeks pregnant I am really struggling. I feel I’ve been left with no choice to go on maternity leave with immediate effect. I have googled I can take maternity leave from 11 weeks before baby is born but have to give 28 days notice? My question is can this be wavered if I have a valid doctors note to say it’s best for me to take early maternity due to my job role? Or will I still have to give my notice and not get paid my leave until then? Sorry for the long post, I am just so stressed i hoped to work until the end but my employer is just making this impossible. I will be seeking legal advice for discrimination.

With a docs note u should be able to go early, if ur company won’t let u contact citizens advice and they will advise u on how to handle it, gets docs note, explain to them I have to go early, if they say no say ok I’ll contact citizens advice and work tribunial, as they r being unfair, ur allowed to go early if a doc advises it…
