Hi everyone, I really need some advice sorry it might seem bit long! I may have to be put in temporary accommodation by council (b&b) as landlord is upping my rent and after lots of back and forth the council have told me to NOT accept rent increase and let them give me notice.. anyway before this all happened (last week) me and my partner had been discussing him moving in with me and the kids (his kids) we haven’t lived together for a good few years due to various reasons and he was living with his grandfather who has passed away about a year ago and he has been homeless ever since living in his car and sofa surfing between couple of mates. He had a bit of cash that his grandad left him (about £1500) which has now gone and he needs to get himself sorted out with a job and bank account so needs a address. Do u think the council will accept him being with me if I said he’s moving in before I get put into some sort of accommodation? I don’t want to throw spanner in the works and ruin any chance I may have with them as my kids have had to move so many times through renting for years I’ve been on their list for 4 yrs already as a single applicant. Tia for any advice x
