hi everyone need some advise

me and my partner have had an argument he has now left i’m 16 weeks pregnant with his child, we have had a argument over his mum who hasn’t bothered with him for months and she kicked him out didn’t want anything to do with him until now because she needs money, my question is what are other people opinions on him just getting on with his life with me and the child i already have and the one that’s on the way or to just forget us an go back home to his mum and help her?
he thinks it’s best to just go home and sort her out
