Hi need some advice please I have a son and I’m not with his dad. But I don’t stop his dad seeing him for Xmas I said would he like our boy in the morning he couldn’t because was going to be with his girlfriend which is fine but he didn’t even wish my boy merry Christmas I had to write for him to ask. Then he wrote how is his son. He only seem bothed about our son when he wants or is bored and I don’t think it’s fair he will come back soon and want to see my boy but I feel like my boy deserve better and isn’t a toy. He never pays for my boy either which is fine but I am a mum and if I had a partner or anything come up I would make sure my boy comes first am I wrong and have gave his dad many chances but why shoukd i chase him to be in my son life and what would you all do please.

I took him to mediation. He didn’t respond but did eventually so I went along. We went into contact centres to build their relationship back up and he just kept cancelling.
Go through channels because if it went to court you would have proof you tried. Or on the other hand it may make him step up!!
