Hi not sure if you can post this but if you can I someone maybe able to help as I’m at my wits end.
My 10 year old son was rushed to hospital just over a year ago with respected meningitis. Which they treated him for until the lumber puncher came back clear. His bloods showed pneumonia. Which he’s had a few times before this, but this hit him hard.
Anyway since then once or twice a month he keeps feeling really Lethargic, pains in his muscles including stiff neck and jaw. He can be ok and then when it hits him he goes down hill really quickly. He’s fallen asleep at a theme park, in tesco’s, at a carnival and in a chemist and lots of times at schoo. He was well before and when it comes on it takes over a week for him to start having energy. His bloods are all clear and the hospital have referred him for Physio. But it’s not giving us answers why he can be a normal energetic 10 year old, to a life less sleeping child just like that.
The reason I’be sending this in is to ask if anyone else’s child’s like this?
It’s heartbreaking. He said yesterday while in so much pain “if this is going to be in my life, I’d rather be died” while sobbing his heart out.
Any advice would be really gratefully received as the hospital are not listening and my doctors saying they can’t do anything without the Paediatrician say so. But he’s fobbing us off.

Different GP n keep going n going try every GP u can till they help that’s what I had to do for two years to get my fibro diagnosis unfortunately invisible illness’s aren’t taking seriously enough good luck I hope you find some answers
Can you get him an appointment with another paediatrician? I know it will mean another waiting list but a second opinion may have a different outcome. I hope you get the answers soon. What a shame I feel so sorry for you both. For a 10yr old to say that is heartbreaking complain and make sure you get the second opinion ❤❤
