Hi please can someone give me advice or point me in the right direction sorry if it a long post.
My son is 7 and I think he might have adhd or autism. This is why.
He is hyper morning til night, he can’t sit still, no concentration, if I say we might do something he goes on and on and on. When where what time etc. He takes everything very literal . He doesn’t get sarcasm or jokes.
I’ve spoken to school. Drs . But because I’ve left a domestic violent relationship police and social where involved. They are putting it all on that.
Where else can I seek help or advice for him

I was diagnosed at 7 with adhd i am now almost 21. I was a child who never slept (literally) who couldn’t sit still and still cant 😂 i would talk and talk and talk, i struggled so much in school with concentrating with my work or listening to the teacher. I still now dont understand what some things mean so they need to be put in a way for me to understand. Its hard to self diagnosed someone with adhd or any sort of austim merely because there are so many things youd not look for. I found socialising extremely hard at that age and keeping friends due to my energy and honesty. Go to your local gp and explain your thoughts and nag and nag until they get you to a specialist. Nowadays they pin point it as bad behaviour etc x
