Hi, was wondering if anyone could help or offer advice regards feedings my 6week old baby.

Just a bit of background on my baby for you which is what’s making my decision harder:
He was born 36 +3 so is classed as prem although he weighed 6lb 14oz
He has spent 4weeks in NICU with ‘Nec’ a gut infection usually only in very prem babies. He also got ‘long line sepsis’ from the long line they put in him.
He was nill by mouth for 2.5 weeks while in nicu, so i was expressing and freezing and developed a very good supply. He was then weaned onto my milk gradually and this is what iv continued to do- express and feed via bottle as he will not suck when latching on and he ends up becoming unsettled at the breast.

However baby has been home 2 weeks now i continued to express and the past few days he has been unwell- sickness and the runs. This may be a coincidence but i have developed mastitis in the last few days the same time frame that he has been unwell which i am on antibiotics for. We have been at the out of hours gp Friday night and was then in hospital last night. He picked up towards the end of last night and was pooing normal again and feeding properly again without being sick. But this morning he has had a ‘green’ poo. Which iv googled (always a bad idea i know) and read it can be a sign of infection, or intolerance to something in the milk reaction to the antibiotics i am on, or just normal poo for breastfed babies at times?
So my issue is this, do i keep him on my milk and just hope he gets better and poo’s normal again.
1. Do i switch to formula so his milk is always the same and not changing with anything i eat or medication i may be on at times so its less likely to upset his tummy?
2. Continue to use my large frozen milk supply from before i developed mastitis and see how he goes?
3. If i did switch to formula do i just switch 100% straight away or do i have to slowly introduce it to not unsettle his tummy?

Im just concerned with his history of gut problems and infections that any changes i make may affect him although i know he is obviously over his previous history as we are discharged now. Im a first time mum and i just want to do whats best for my boy and help him stay well. Iv spent so many hours in hospitals and watching him be poorly that every decision i think of making regards feeding him i question.

Sorry for the long post i just feel i have to explain his background as to why I’m finding it hard deciding what is best to do.
Thank you.
