Hiya can I have a post please. Is there any 16 year olds on here with a baby who lives with their parents? My cousin has just had her baby girl on Christmas day and still lives with her parents. She’s only 16… She has been told she isn’t entitled to anything to care for her or her baby. Is this correct? Thanks in advance x

I had my first at 15 lived with parents my mum claimed for me n my baby but when I was 16 I claimed myself n I also got my own house at 16 too xx
She can get income support but that’s it. Her parents will need to claim child benefits and tax credits.
Her mam will have to cliam for the child I think
