Hiya can I have a post please.
Looking for some advice. My little girl is nearly 2, and she has always called me and my partner mummy and daddy up until a month or so ago. She now calls us by our names . I thought it was something every child does and would grow out of it. But she never calls us mummy and daddy anymore even when we say “it’s mummy” and try to correct her. Will this pass and is there anything I can do to help ? Has anyone else had this with their toddler ? Just feel a little heartbroken as daft as it sounds that I don’t hear my little lady calling mummy anymore 😔 thank you x

Yeah my little girl went through a faze of calling me soph instead of mommy. Only last a few weeks. She will occasionally do it still now but very rare it’s just where they hear others call you by their name. Ignore her each time she calls you by your name and only respond when she calls your or your partner mommy or daddy xx
My friends little girl did this and so she stopped answering when she called her by her name! It soon worked 😄
my son done the same thing with my husband who is his dad, eventually my husband stopped answering until he said dad and hasn’t called him by his first name since
