Hiya can I have s private post please?

I posted a few weeks back about my partner being emotcionallly abusive controlling etc, anyways today I finally left him. We had a massive argument about money (he works and I don’t) and he said everything is all my fault so I just told him if it’s all my fault I’m going. I packed an over night bag for me and my son and I’m staying at my mum’s. My only worry I have now is I have nothing to my name, I bought the car out of my money, but it is in his name. He has his own car which he has SORN a van and a bike. How would I go about getting a little council flat? Honestly I can’t stay at my mum’s forever as we clash and there just isn’t and room tbh. If I do get a little council flat for myself and my son will I be entitled to any benefits at all? I just wanna sort of see where I stand with it all so I can work out if I would be able to afford a flat etc.
