Hiya, could I have a private post please?
Chicken pox is going around my daughter nursery…so it’s made me a bit paranoid! The last couple of days she’s had cold like symptoms, and today came out with a rash below her mouth, and tiny little red dots on her feet, lady bits and randomly on her body. Is it likely to be chicken pox? I phoned a&e for advice but they were useless! Also anything I can do to help the itch (her feet are very itchy) until I can get to a pharmacy? Thanks ladies x

Thanks everyone x I guess I’ll just see what her spots are like tomorrow! I did overhear another mum at nursery mention hand foot and mouth to someone, so it’s likely to be that!x
Possibly hamd foot and mouth although do not give ibuprofen until you know for certain if its that or chicken pox… it can cause alot of problems if its given when they have chicken pox!
Chicken pox usually starts on the trunk & then spreads from there – small raised red spots that then blister before scabbing. It could be this or it could be hand foot & mouth which is also doing the rounds
It’s hand foot and mouth and it highly contagious doctors will tell you they can only advice giving calpol for it they can also get the blisters in there mouth
