I am now a single parent and work full time. The amount I am paying in childcare is crazy. I have been offered another job part time and its in the evenings so i wont have to pay childcare. I am considering taking it as one i will be able to drop of and pick up my little girl from nursery when she starts in September and 2nd of all i will be able to get more done round the house. I have OCD so it drives me mad that i cant clean as much and this affects my mental healh. I have worked full time for 2yrs. my main concern is will i be worse off. I went from part time to full time and never seem to have much money left over anyway. Would tax credits balance it out if i worked part time. Unless u have anthing helpful to say dont comment. I have worked since i was 16yrs old and never been unemployed so i dont wanna hear you shouldnt rely on benefits

  • Look into the 30hrs childcare (term time) starts September or you can do 22hrs all year round then pay the extra they go. Ive just applied for it. You have got to be working 16hrs or more and take home £120 or more in wages. Its Childcarechoices.gov.uk x

  • Go part time enjoy more time with your little one and make memories. You should get help as suggested though.
Do whatever you think is right for you and your little one x

  • Yeah if your a single parent if there over (i think its 3) you can get 30 hrs funding, if there not 3 yet look into the 15 hours funding xx
