I started having the contraceptive injection about 2 years ago. I only had 2/3 injections. My last injection was october 2016. My next was due january of 2017. I didn’t have it as we decided to have our last baby. Fast forward to now and still no baby. I read that it takes 18 months to get rid of it from your system but last week I asked the sexual health nurse and she said thats not true. It stops being affective as soon as the next one is due. It only lasts 3 months. My periods only returned about 5 months ago. They are heavier than they used to be but dont last as long. As soon as I stopped the injections I started buying baby things. I still have them nearly 2 years later under my bed! I’m 33 in Novemberand my husband is 37. I feel like we are running out of time now. Am I doing something wrong! šŸ˜«ā˜¹šŸ˜¢ xx
