Just wondering if anyone’s child has ever suffered with a swollen lymph node in neck, my son 7 has had a bit of a cold these past two weeks and this came up Tuesday.. Panicked and took him to the doctors and they said it was a swollen lymph node and to take him back if it stays for two months !! We were literally in the doctors like 30 seconds.. !!! The doctor made me feel like I’d wasted his time and I can’t stop worrying about it.. This is it tonight before bed. Thanks

My son has something similar. I’m taking him in tomorrow. Your post was in November. Has the lymph node gone down? Please update…as I’m worried and there is only awful stuff on the internet.
My 6 yr old daughter got the same thing on the same side just 2 days ago. She did have a sore throat last week and a stomach virus but tested neg for strep. She still has the bump but throughout the day it comes and goes. She says its a bit painful but no sore throat even though her throat still looks slightly red. Praying its nothing serious. Hope all turned out well with all the kiddos.
I had this when I was a teenager after a school trip, went to the doctor at the time and was told exactly the same thing.
Wouldn’t be worried about it, mine went back down after two weeks.
When my son was 4 he woke up one day with a very large tender one-sided lymph node and not feeling well. They tried antibiotics but days later he was worse, he also felt horrible and claimed his felt hurt. As a process of elimination they determined her had Kowasaki’s Disease and had to be hospitalized for a week and continued treatment for a month to prevent any heart issues. Keep a close eye out for this.
