I’m booked in for a Caesarian section middle of June because of previous sections. But a week before my section date my midwife wants to give me a sweep is she allowed to?

I had 1 emergency section and 1 planned. Then with my 3rd I wanted to try a natural labour so i was given a sweep 2 weeks before my c section was booked. I went into spontaneous labour 3 days before my c section was booked and ended up with emergency c section again. So if you haven’t asked for a natural labour I don’t see the point in them doing it… unless theubare worried about anything. Even then they should just bring your section date closer x
I would personally say no. It’s your right to refuse. Why would you want to do a sweep that would increase the chance of you going into spontaneous labour?
You can refuse to have one done. Just tell her no. It would be pointless if you’re already booked in for a c-section.
I don’t see the point. Surely this would cause I to have to have an emcs if u were to go into labour x
I don’t understand why she would offer you a sweep if she knows you’re booked for a c section. Tell her you don’t want it.
You don’t have to accept a sweep some do try to push for vbac, but you don’t have to.
why have one if your having a section I’d say say no. no point xx
You can refuse a sweep x
what’s the point …
Ask your doctor?
I don’t know
