My ex has recently been picking our daughter up in his van, instead of his car. I don’t like the idea of her being in the front seat of any vehicle. She is 15 months old. Is it legal to have someone so small in the front seats?
I’ve asked him why he isn’t using the car, apparently work pays for the vans fuel …

The child can sit in the front seat if in the correct car seat. If rear facing the airbag must be switched off on that side. If forward facing then the seat either needs to be in the full back position or the airbag must be switched off if the child is under 12
He needs to make sure the airbag is turned of in the passenger’s side otherwise its illegal, if he does this its seen as safe and legal
If she’s in her car seat and the airbags are switched off then it’s fine legally
I thought if a vehicle has got airbags on in the front a child isn’t allowed unless they are switched off x
If it’s a works van then he needs to ensure his works insurance covers having passengers that aren’t employees xx
Yeah absolutely fine to be in the van.x
As long as air bags r off if in seat facing the front seat its fine
