My sister needs advice.
my nephew is 5years old and Still has accidents and does not tell us when he needs the loo (daytime) he still has to wear pull ups on night as he can’t go throughout the night without an accident.
In the past few months it’s now progressed and he is having a poo in his underwear and won’t tell anyone and can be carrying on playing. Bike rides etc without mentioning it. And we all don’t want him to carry on like this. We have sat and spoke to him about it and he says he gets distracted with playing etc and says he don’t have feelings in his tummy to say he needs the loo( though he does tell us most the time) so I don’t get why his doing it. he had an accident at school and didn’t tell any teachers he had pooed and he had been sat in it all day till my sister got him home.
We don’t shout at him and we have tried sticker charts and he can use toilet fine etc. I don’t no if anyone else has had this. We are going to seek gp advice incase anything medical but any advice is greatly appreciated xx tia

I have no experience in this but was told my little sister used to wet the bed at this sort of age. My mum was told that through the night if they have an accident to make them strip and make the bed. It happened one night she made her own bed and it never happened again. Not saying this would work but may worth a go. Sorry no other advice on through daytime but hope you get some advice soon and get him sorted as not nice for him bless him 😊
