I have shared and sent a card via Funky Pigeon as I am living in France. I have a 9 year old Grandson with high functioning autism, life is so difficult for them as no one really understands them and what they go through on a daily basis, physically and emotionally. Lets try and make Ben’s birthday special…..

I am so sorry this has happened to your son. I feel the parents of the children invited to the first party, could have encouraged their children to attend the birthday party by gently explaining why it was important because it would make their classmate sad if they did not go to the party. Clearly, some of the blame belongs to the parents of the invited children. Parents need to teach their children when they are young that it is wrong to be unkind to children with special needs, after all there are no guarantees that we will all have perfect children! “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you`!

This broke my heart and Im not ashamed to say made me cry. I hope little Ben has a lovely day. He will know on his birthday that not all people are heartless. Some like those here who have replied here are beautiful kind people…
