Not baby related but I just need advice as have no idea where to start!
My grandad was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer but is having radio and chemo therapy to try slow it down but it is in his pelvis and it is preventing him from walking and driving! Someone said to us about getting him a blue badge for when I take him shopping and hospital appointments but he needs to be receiving benefits which he’s now! also I am now his carer at home as my nan is unable to do it so I have been trained by royal marsden to do it at home for him! Do you know what benefits he needs to be on in order to receive the blue badge to make things a little easier for him! Hope that makes sense tia x

It used to be dla so now pip, you’re automatically granted higher rate if terminal so he would be entitled to the blue badge and a radar key (for disabled toilets) xx
Pip and you can sometimes apply for one without other benefits x
I don’t think you need any benefits my Granma works but has a blue badge she does get pip tho x

I don’t think you need to be on benefits to get a blue badge because it’s based on need,nothing to do with financials
