Please can I have a private post, i’m 40+6 weeks pregnant & it’s my second baby, I had a midwife appointment at 40+3 weeks pregnant & our baby was 3/5 engaged & my cervix was closed so our midwife was unable to do the membrane sweep, I had another appointment today & my cervix was soft & 1cm dilated, so our midwife was able to do the membrane sweep, has anyone else has a similar experience & how long did it take before you went into labour? I didn’t know if the membrane sweep is very successful when i’m only 1cm dilated?
