Please can I have a private post..So my situation is that I am a single mum of 2 boys in primary school. They are great kids.Over the years we have been through a lot.Domestic abuse/My mum died of cancer but I have found the strength to carry on.Got myself a little part time job that I love. My problem is the primary school! They honestly make me feel like I’m being a crap mum. My oldest son is currently being examined for autism and has his problems at school,I am speaking to them daily etc however I feel like since my other son has came back after summer holidays he is struggling with his new teacher.Before he had a male teacher who was great with kids,kept them all in line & had a really creative & fun way of learning. This term he has an older lady teacher who with all due respect has no get up & go.(I’m not the only parent to say this)now my youngest is being a bit silly in class & not following some of her rules,I am very supportive of school & my kids learning however I feel like this teacher is picking on him because of his older brother being branded(naughty) my youngest is now wetting the bed,saying he hates the school/teacher & says the teacher is nice to everyone else bar him no matter how good he is!! This breaks my heart and headteacher just speaks to me like I’m a child when I phone about this.Its really getting me down.I received a day & time to go into school for the boys parents meeting but can’t make that time as I’m working but yet I’m worried about phoning & asking if I could come in one morning to hear about how both are doing & express my concerns in case I get told that’s not acceptable or as a parent I need to go to the exact parents meeting time I’m told! May seem silly to some but it’s really getting me down & I feel like I have my life on track & not going to start asking my work for time off when I only work 3 days a week.Any advice would be really appreciated xxx
