Please could I have a private post.
I was up the hospital today for my 12 week dating scan and an appointment with the consultant team. I had a urine sample and bloods taken as normal. As I was leaving the consultant asked me if I give permission for a full toxicology of my urine to be done. i.e a drug test.
My question is why have they randomly asked me to test my urine or bloods for illegal substances, when I have never taken drugs before nor have I ever had these tests done in my previous pregnancies.
So why this time. Has this happened to anyone else??

They’ve started testing ppl here and if drugs are found they report you to social services, I have a friend who was tested and reported she’s yet to have her baby but when she does the baby will either be taken or on a care order x
Don’t know where you are but in london they test with every pregnancy, I’ve been resented in every pregnancy has never had a problem, didn’t know they didn’t do it everywhere x
Just seen it’s from your urine, I had it done from blood test x
That is very odd…..I’d ask them why and is this a compulsory test that every woman does these days😳
They do random drug tests now! I seen it on a poster when I was pregnant with my 3rd xx
Should I ring the hospital pregnancy unit tomorrow and ask why.
Seems odd…unless they have started doing stuff like this 😳
