Please could I have a private post please?
Me and my partner have just had an argument and me posting online is not something I want getting back to him.
My partner has never had anything to do with children or been around them to even take a interest in them
I however have many nephews and nieces so I’m a little more confident and know a little more than him.
He’s turned around and told me that apparently I shouldn’t be picking our child up when she crys.
Our child suffered from constipation from one week old and although is no longer constipated he still clearly gets belly ache and goes maybe every other day.
Despite him only being 6 weeks he also has a tooth coming through too. So is obviously grizzly
I only pick him up to soothe him when he’s clearly doing the in pain/discomfort cry. Or obviously pick him up to feed him.
If he’s just doing a normal attention cry I obviously don’t pick him up and spoil him.
Yet apparently I need to let him cry it out most the time.

So tell me. In your opinion/experience is 6 weeks old too young to let a baby cry it out every time?
