Please no bashing. I know its PICA. I’ve been put on meds for it and my doc thinks it has to do with my OCD. I’ve been on meds for over a month and it hasn’t worked.. I crave dirt, baby powder, dust, I chew on my tongue a lot, constantly want to brush my teeth and scrub my tongue, I LOVE sitting in front of the vacuum with it on and breathing in the dusty smell it has, and smelling harsh chemicals. I’m currently 37 weeks pregnant. I try to resist it but seems impossible.. Any mom’s know what I’m going through? Any way you can make yourself stop without having a panic attack? No bashing please.

  • This was me 5yrs ago.had to stop myself licking dust on bus windows the lot.. would follow a chemical smell, would open cleaning cupboards to get a sniff of polish ect. My nesting was out of control cause I have ocd tendencies.. I started rubbing baby powder all over my body and licking it off. I thought I was going nuts .. I was given iron tablets but didn’t help I only stopped after giving birth 26 weeks it started and stopped 38 when she arrived. Good luck hun as the cravings are so bad for dust and chemicals I was so worried I was hurting my wee baby but I couldn’t stop xx
