Ppp. Has anyone had a doctors letter and paid lots of money for it? Council said I need a VERY good doctors letter to move (11th floor 2 children under 5, I don’t mind paying but this is my last shot at moving so I need it to be a good one, but just wondering how much I’m ruffly looking at thankyou x

My surgery charge £20 for anything the Dr needs to sign/write that isn’t a prescription. If you ring the reception they will tell you how much it will cost but they shouldn’t charge you if it refers to a medical issue. I’ve had a reference from my Dr that they charged me for but when I needed a letter detailing a medical condition for work due to absences I wasn’t charged x

Your gp will have a set rate what they charge for writing private letters. X
I would have to pay £35 for mine when i asked for one but my doctor was lovely and gave it me free x
