PPP, I need some advice please. I’m currently in a part time job but next week I should be due to start my new job. I split up with my partner on new year and he has moved out and my partner has been my main source of childcare in the old job. I’m worrying coz my new job isn’t set days and hours that I will struggle for childcare now my ex partner is not around. And my child’s nursery not able to be flexible on my shift change on a weekly basis. I was considering contacting my new boss explaining my situation to see if she would be able to give me set hours and set days every week so I can book my son in to day care but I’m worried coz I’ve not started there yet it’s not going to look good. I studied 4 years to get this position so really don’t want to miss the opportunity. Would you ladies be honest with your new boss and hope for the best or can you recommend any other ways of childcare? I don’t have family that can help either. Thanks
