I’m pregnant and just enrolled onto a adult access course for midwifery at college so I can hopefully attend university next year. The course is 3 mornings a weeks for 3 hours at a time .Babies due end of December which would mean I’d be going straight back into college still once baby born . My question is , is it too much . Should I wait till next year ? Or is there anyone that’s been in the same situation? I only get one shot at this course and need the maximum credits to even get into uni

I fell pregnant with my son in college, left 3/4 weeks before due date then went back when he was 8 weeks old. I did drop a day so did 3 instead of 4 and they weren’t all full days. Luckily I had very supportive partner, family, friends and in-laws to help me. Only you know what’s best for you and whether you will manage all the work along side being a mummy 🙂 xx
I would wait an extra year 🙂 I’m just finishing an access course and have found the work load crazy with a 3 year old. I couldn’t imagine having a new born to care for and doing the course. It’s really intense and very stressful but worth the end result 🙂 x
You are legally obliged to take 2wks of maternity leave to recover from the birth. If baby is due at the end of December & you go overdue into January then you may not be able to return straight away…
I’d wait untill your 100% ready the stress of being pregnant and the baby brain with a new born baby I personally found hard at college, each to there owt though xx
I was on a course had my baby in December right back to January I was on a course again thanks to one of my good freinds it’s harder but worth it
