My step daughter is 5 years old she was taken from her biological mother 4 years go (long story) but my ex and my son’s father has full custody of her. I raised her from been 1 until 3 and half then me and my ex split up and I didn’t see her for 18 months. So when she met her brother he was 14 months he’s now 19 months. She stays at my house regularly but over the past 5 months her behaviour has got worse. I’m questioning if it’s maternal deprovation. So I catch her kicking pushing pulling snatching things of my lb constantly. Tonight they where in their bedroom while I was running the bath and she didn’t see me watching of course I watch because my lb is such a climber anyway he was just stood jumping up and down and I watched her pull him back and kick him so I said what do you think your doing she said he was climbing he really wasn’t and even if he was that’s no excuse to do what she had done. So I made her sit on her bed. Tried talking to her several times and all she has done is go red in the face kick her legs clench her fists and grit her teeth while screaming at me she’s still sat up there screaming and kicking of. I’m just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to stop this because everything I can think of I have tried. Xx
