Hi can I have a private post to your bumps page please?? I’m currently pregnant with my 2nd child and I’m genuinely scared that I won’t love or bond this child as much as I do my son. When I was pregnant with him, and until he was 2, I was in an abusive relationship towards me and my son, and so I was very protective of him, and he realised that mummy would look after him and so we had really strong bond (which his father hated). When I finally left his father it was just me and my son and so we grew even closer. I’m now with a new partner who is wonderful who my son calls dad as he has no memory of the real person, but I am scared that as I won’t have gone through the same experience with this child that I won’t have the same bond with them. Am I crazy? Has anyone felt like this before? Not sure who I can turn to for help either. Thanks x x
