Need some advice from other mummy’s been in my situation ?
Was in an abusive relationship and left when my daughter was 6 months old…. when she was 18 months I got an emergency non molestation order put on my ex for a year and he was told if he wanted to see my daughter he would need to go through court … which he didn’t. Almost 3 years on and still nothing.
Now with the perfect daddy and partner- the only daddy my daughter has known. We have another daughter who’s 1 now.
We want to unite our family … my fiancé wants to have parental responsibility of my both our daughters…. been to see a solicitor today to be told the chances of this are very very small – judges don’t normally see it necessary unless the ex is posing a risk to my daughter at the time.
How can this be right? I want to know my daughter is safe and one day he can’t just waltz back into her life and also my partner and I desperately want our family unite to be official … although nothing changes between all of us there must be a way?!
Please help, I’m devastated 😔Feeling like I’ve let my daughter down
