PPP So I absolutely ballsed up today. Went to the seaside with my Mum, my 2 small children and my sisters 10 year old, 7 year old and 3 year old. We were at the seaside enjoying our day, heading back to the car to grab towels and beach stuff to head down to the beach. My 7 year old nephew wanted to get changed in the men’s toilet stalls in the toilet block right next to where we had parked. Sure why not, we’re right here, his big sister did the same in the ladies and my mum took the 3 year old niece to the toilet too. He came back after a little while and like I do I asked if he was okay. He was. But he said “a man waggled his Willy at me in the toilets. He waggled it and laughed” Wwhhaattt?? I got him to clarify it and I just presumed the guy was like waggling his last pee drips out and thought it was funny Nephew saw him??
Nephew then says the guy looked under the stall when he was getting changed.
Then a young 20 something guy walks out and past us and nephew says that that is the guy.
Balls. I didn’t shout after him. Wanted to catch up and clarify and check it was a mistake but I was rooted to the spot, my fear of confrontation and anxiety of strangers took over. I took a quick shot of the car he got into and tapped a quick description out. Then told nephew that there are some very bad men out there, really weird men and then relayed everything to my mum when she came back. She was livid & asked if he was touched (no)
Nephew seemed fine for day, we asked if he was okay and he said he was but now he’s back with sister he’s really distraught and she’s phoning police/authorities.
What should I have done differently? I feel terrible. Guilty I did nothing. Sister isnt mad at me (remarkably) Also won’t be letting him use men’s toilets on his own and the disabled we’re locked up/In use? Blah. Just feeling useless and angry and wanted to vent. Some right touched humans out there. 😔😔
