Hiiii,
Just looking for some advice and a bit of direction from anyone who was/in a similar position.
I am ex Royal Navy and left in 2015 so I could spend more time with my daughter who was 2 at the time. I worked right up until I went on maternity with my second daughter in May 2016. Since then I’ve been unemployed. I’m itching to go back to work but I cannot afford to. My partner has a well payed job so I do not qualify for any sort of help with childcare.
I feel that if I go back to a regular 9-5 job the wage would be eaten in childcare instantly which would make it pretty pointless even working in my opinion.
Since moving back home I’ve had to in essence start my life again. All the friends I had from school now lead their own lives or live away so I’m stuck in a rut. The only adult interaction I get is from taking my youngest to toddler groups.
I don’t want any bashing because working is all I know. I’ve lost my financial independence. I hate the thought of my partner footing the bill for everything, I’ve always paid my way.

So has anyone been in a similar position? How did you do it? Am I just being over dramatic?

Thankyou xx
