Hi Ladies,i had the mirena coil fitted about 6 weeks ago,am getting some really bad cramping on my left side.Does anyone know if this is normal? Please reply.Thanks x

It’s normal to have discomfort for a while. I had terrible pains until it settled in, as did my sister. It took a few months of on and off cramps but now it’s been fine for 2 years. Try a hot water bottle xx
I would go to your GP my coil got stuck and had to have an operation to remove it xx
Probably a uti, go to your GP x
