I have a 2 week old baby and I have been exclusively breastfeeding and it is going really well however we also have a 2and a half year old and 2 teenagers so our lifestyle is very busy, my partner helps out so time isn’t the issue. He doesn’t feel as tho he is bonding as well with the new baby as he isn’t feeding him and doesn’t get much time with him because he’s quite demanding of the breast and constantly wants to be on me. I am also due to go back to work in 2 weeks as he is a stay at home Dad so I am planning on expressing my milk anyway but I’m wondering how other women have managed to juggle breast and bottle feeding combined when should he be on the breast and when should I be expressing? Is 2 week too early to give expressed milk in a bottle so my partner can feed? I don’t want him to not go back to the breast and me lose my milk supply. Any advice would be massively appreciated.
