Hello im just after some advice please, my sons father has never really bothered with him since hes been born. He’s only ever seen him 10 times maximum and our son is almost 1 and a half (most of them times ive took the baby to see him). Recently he asked if he could have our son for the weekend from friday to monday. Am i wrong to say no bareing in mind our son doesnt know who he is, theres no bond there at all and he lives 100 miles away. Ive told him if he comes here more regularly so our baby gets to know him then maybe in the future yes. But that doesnt seem to be good enough and hes threatening me with court. Someone please tell me im not in the wrong. Thanks

I would be adkimg myselg why the sudden interest and why a whole weekend… what youve suggested is good but i would keep an eye for ulterior motive. Xx
You are right. I wouldn’t let mine go till they had a better bond x
Even if it went 2 court they would do the same. A few hours a week 2 get 2 know the baby again before over nights stay x
Court will back you on this gradually building up contact
