Private post please. Ive just finished with my mother in law. I cant cope with her controlling behaviour anymore. From the moment i was pregnant she tried taking over she even got a braclet engraved with the name she wanted to call her before me and my partner even decided what we wanted to call her. She changes the clothes i put her in. She takes away drinks i give her. She wont let me wash my own daughters clothes. Shes constantly picking faults and pulling me down and speaking to me like a child. She is a negative person and makes me feel worthless. She comes into my house and rearranges things. Has a go at me for picking more shifts up at work. So many things she tries to have an imput on and shes not even my mother! How do i go about this without it affecting my daughter as they seem to have a good relationship. Ive tried telli g her to back off but she says she isn’t telling me what to do etc but she is! I dont want my daughter picking up on her undermining behaviour as before ill know it she will not respect or listen to me.
