Private post please
My daughter 5 on the autism pathway has been targeted by this other 5 yr old boy
In her reception class
I’ve witnessed him push her in the playground twice
Today while waiting for my other child to come out of yr 4 I looked over at my daughter and the little boy I can only describe it as tackled her like she was a football player
I ran over and said ‘his name’ you can’t do that
His mum came over and I explained what happened and he can’t keep hurting her he’s going to really hurt her one day ect
I was fumming v upset
That’s my daughter and she’s closed off,quiet,shy and wouldn’t hurt a fly
The mum said her boy has issues I said so’s faith she has autism he can’t keep hurting her. She said so has he.
They then went there was no say sorry
That’s wrong he can’t hurt other children
Anyway what do I do about that
Apart frm not let my daughter out of sight she should be able to go and play hop scotch without getting pushed or tackled
I have every sympathy as said my daughters had ‘issues’ too but she has to be safe this little boys mum wasn’t watching him she was chatting with back to him and didn’t seem bothered like he’s got an excuse
Help what do I do?

  • You need to speak to their teachers and they will keep an eye on him. Keep a note of any other problems and keep in touch with the school. We’ve had a similar problem with an autistic child being very rough and causing scratching and bruising. The school has been very good but its a horrible situation to be in.
