Private post please.
My son just turned 2, he’s been throwing tantrums and playing up for a month or so now and just recently has started hitting me out of frustration… he’s not learnt this of me as I would never hit him, however I have lost get tag a few times really shouting at him. I must have had a shouting match with him at least 10 times all ready today, every day waking up thinking how can I be a better mum because shouting doesn’t help and makes me feel like a crap mum. Iv tried time out but it becomes a power of the will trying to get him to sit down for 2 mins any body got any different ways to deal with temper tantrum hurting etc… obviously I can ignore the tantrums but he needs to know when he’s doing something wrong. Iv been assured by child minder hitting is just a stage that some kids go through…. but has anyone got any good advice for letting him know I’m not happy, also tried getting to his level in a calm but stern voice this doesn’t work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Xx
