Private post please

So I have a child and my partner has a child who is the same age, we live together and have done for over a year. Recently his child has been staying with us twice a week which has been lovely, my partner works very long hours and once a week wants to unwind for an hour playing football with friends. He asked me if I minded watching his child whilst he went which isn’t a problem as I love him to pieces and we get on so well. Anyway he told his child’s Mum that he was going and leaving him with me and she’s said she isn’t happy about it and what not as she doesn’t trust me (no idea why, I have never done anything for her not to trust me). My partner went to football and I looked after the kids and they were playing so nicely so I took a picture and sent it to my partners ex just to show he’s safe and happy with me ect. She has gone absolute mental that he has gone to football and left their child with me, she’s made him wake the child up at 9:30 and take him home, has refused him overnight stays now and has threatened to call the police and all sorts. I don’t know what I want from this post I just feel massively guilty as I thought I was doing a nice thing to reassure her and now it’s caused all this drama which I feel is my fault 😢 my partner has told me not to blame myself but I can’t help it
